Game Rules

  • Each team will have four or five players on the field at a time. There will be no goalies.
  • Each player must play at least half of each game.
  • Play will start with a kick-off at center field. At random, one team will be selected to kick-off. Opposing players must be at least five yards behind the kickoff.
  • When a goal is scored, the ball will be returned to center field and the opposing team will kick-off.
  • Coaches are encouraged to stay on the playing field, supporting players and bringing balls back in play when necessary. Coaches will also act as referees and time-keepers.
  • If a ball goes out of the field of play, a coach will bring the ball back in play without adversely affecting either team.  Thrown balls should be kept low to the ground to avoid player collisions.
  • Final scores will not be recorded.
  • Coaches are encouraged to rotate players as seems necessary and appropriate within the periods.
  • Teams should shake hands at the end of each game and say a cheer for their opponents.
  • Please leave dogs at home.  Everybody loves dogs, and we know that your's is very gentle.  But some children are terrified and we've had numerous complaints in the past.
